Using "Add to Salesforce" in Cirrus
The "Add to Salesforce" feature is an excellent way to easily integrate what’s going on in your outlook inbox with our data records in Salesforce. Rather than logging information from outlook in Salesforce manually, Add to Salesforce allow you to link messages and attachments directly to Salesforce records with just a few clicks!
First you'll need to download, install, and sign-in to the latest version of the Cirrus Outlook Plug-in. Follow instructions here for downloading on a Mac or PC.
Reach out to Phoebe Copeland at [email protected] any questions.
Add your Email to Salesforce
Once you're in the email you want to copy over, open the Cirrus sidebar.
Click the "Add to Salesforce" button which is the little cloud icon at the top right of the sidebar.

The Subject and Related to Contact will default to the subject of the email and the contact from who you received the email.
Use the Related Record option to link this email to whichever Salesforce record will be most helpful to you. Choose which object you want to connect the email to and then search for the record you want. Once those are selected, click save to connect to Salesforce.
In this case, the Fellow's request about extra lodging is being connected to their special event attendee record but a similar use case exists for tracking notes related to opportunity records or specifics about a particular candidate or nomination.

Access your Email from Salesforce
Navigate to the record where you saved the email and you'll see the email listed in the Activity queue in the right hand panel.
Click on the activity record, to expand the activity and see any attachments as well as related contacts. Anyone copied on the email chain will be listed in the "Sender and Recipients" section.
