Setting up a new user
Create the new user account
Start here: Setup > Administer > Manage Users > Users
Select the following checkboxes
Active = activates the user
Marketing User = enables the user to send emails through the system
Force.com Flow User = enables the user to trigger automated flows
Salesforce1 User = enables the user to use the Salesforce1 mobile app
Add to Permission Sets, Public Groups
General:
- Files Connect for Sharepoint
- Special Events (only applicable for limited profiles)
Objects:
- Manage Moderator Certifications
- Manage Opportunities
- Manage Programs/Classes
- Manage Readings
- Manage Sectors
- Manage Surveys
- Manage Ventures
Installed Packages:
- CalendarAnything Default Permission Set
Community:
- Flag event records for community (broader)
- Flag contact records for community (restricted)
Restricted Access:
- McNulty Notes Restricted Access
- AF Protected Fields
Admin:
- Apsona Data Import
- Manage Data Export
- Manage Cases
- Conga Conductor (to be created)
System:
- Password Never Expires
Check access to public/shared folders
Reports and Dashboards folders
Email Templates
